Board Certified Optometric Physicians, Dr. Moran and Dr. Mauri are trained to diagnose and treat trauma and diseases of the eye as well as provide routine vision care. Their combined over twenty-five years of experience as well as their unfailing attention to their patients input have served as the key elements to the foundation of the Eye Center.

Dr. Ramon Moran Jr. is the founder and senior partner of the Eye Care Center. A native of Miami, Dr. Moran studied his undergraduate at the University of Florida and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Clinically, he has special interest in contact lenses and refractive surgery. An active member of the Dade County, Florida, and American Optometric Association, Dr. Moran resides in Brickell with his wife, Miki, and enjoys traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dr. Carlos A. Mauri has been a partner of the Eye Care Center since 1992. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Mauri received his degree of Optometrist in el Colegio Universitario de Optometría, Caracas, Venezuela, and graduated with Honors as a Doctor of Optometry from the New England School of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Mauri's training emphasized in cornea, refractive surgery, surgery co-management, and glaucoma. In addition, he specializes in medically necessary contact lenses. After receiving his degree, Dr. Mauri's commitment to his profession and his patients remains evident through his continued attendance at numerous continue-education seminars. An active member of the Dade County, Florida, and American Optometric Association, Dr. Mauri is also a part of the Millennium Laser Eye Center's Advisory Board. He currently resides in Coral Gables with his wife, Vivien, and their two daughters. As time allows, Dr. Mauri enjoys traveling.
